Long bar chrome plating is a surface chrome plating process for long bar parts. Here are some details of the process:

I. Process Overview

Long rod chrome plating is mainly applied to long rod parts that need to improve surface hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties, such as piston rods, cylinder rods and so on. Through the chrome plating treatment, a uniform, dense chrome layer can be formed on the surface of the parts, which greatly improves the service life and performance of the parts.

II. Process Flow

The process flow of chrome plating for long bars usually includes the following steps:

1. Pre-treatment: Cleaning, degreasing, descaling and other treatments on the long bar parts to ensure that the parts surface is clean and free of impurities, providing a good basis for the subsequent chrome plating treatment.

2. Activation Treatment: Activating the surface of the parts by chemical or physical methods to make it easier to combine with the chrome ions in the chrome plating solution to form a solid coating.

3. Chrome plating treatment: After pre-treatment and activation treatment, the parts are put into the chromium plating tank, and a chromium plating layer is deposited on the surface of the parts by electrolysis. In the process of chromium plating, it is necessary to control the current density, temperature, chromium plating liquid composition and other parameters to ensure that the quality and thickness of the plating layer meet the requirements.

4. Post-treatment: After chrome plating is completed, the parts are cleaned and dried to remove residual chrome plating liquid and impurities. At the same time, the plating layer can also be polished, passivated and other treatments as needed to improve its appearance and performance.
