Function of Acid Cleaning in Technological Process of Electroplating Equipment
1、 Intent: Remove the oxide film on the wire surface and form a phosphate film on the metal surface to reduce the abrasion to the tooling and die during wire drawing, cold pier or forming.
2、 Electroplating equipment workflow:
(1) Pickling: Immerse all plates into three hydrochloric acid tanks at normal temperature with concentration of 20-25% for several minutes, with the purpose of removing the oxidation film on the surface of the wire,
(2) Clean water: remove the hydrochloric acid corrosion commodity on the wire surface.
(3) Oxalic acid: add the activity of metal to make the skin film generated in the next process more dense,
(4) Treatment of skin film: immerse the disc elements into phosphate, touch the steel surface with the chemical treatment solution, dissolve the steel and generate insoluble compounds (such as Zn2Fe (Po4) 4H2O), and attach to the steel surface to form a skin film.
(5) Clear water: remove the residues on the skin film surface.
(6) Lubricant: Because the friction coefficient of phosphate skin film is not very low, it cannot give sufficient lubricity during processing, but it reacts with metal soap (such as sodium soap) to form a solid
A metal soap layer that can add lubrication.
